Tanner Holbert outscored Miami Trace in the first half on Saturday and nearly for the entire night to help power visiting Logan Elm to a 51-27 non-league win.
The Logan Elm junior guard scored 16 of his game-high 24 points in the first half to send the Braves into intermission with a commanding 26-14 advantage. Holbert finished the night 8 of 15 from the field.
Braylen Baker followed with 12 points, and Konnor Starkey and Ne’Miah Waugh each added four points.
Miami Trace finished the game with 13 turnovers compared to just five for the Braves.
Logan Elm (3-1) resumes Mid-State League Buckeye Division play on Tuesday when it hosts Circleville.

Adena 29
Westfall improved to 2-0 inside the Scioto Valley Conference on Saturday with a 52-29 rout of visiting Adena.
Casey Cline led the way with 20 points, Seth Gifford had eight, and Ashton Nunemaker and Blaec Bugher added five apiece.
The Mustangs (2-1, 2-0) continue conference play on Friday at Zane Trace.

Logan Elm 29
Logan Elm put together perhaps its best half of basketball of the season, trailing just 18-16 at halftime on Saturday, but visiting Liberty Union erupted for 27 second-half points to pull away for a 45-29 MSL-Buckeye win.
Cadence Haupt had four of her eight points in the first half to pace the Braves, Maggie Wilson followed with six, and Enaja Fischer, Zoe Karshner and Clara Wilson added four apiece.
The Braves (0-7, 0-4) travel to Washington Court House on Tuesday for a non-league game.
Fairfield Union 32,
Teays Valley 24
Fairfield Union (6-0, 4-0) clamped down on visiting Teays Valley to take sole possession of first in the MSL-Buckeye on Saturday with a 32-24 win.
The Vikings (6-2, 3-1) continue league play on Friday at Hamilton Township.
