Circleville top seed in SE district boys bracket

Circleville’s double-overtime win over Unioto Friday secured the No. 1 seed for the Tigers in the Southeast District Division IV tournament seedings announced Sunday. 

Southeast District Division IV

As the top seed, Circleville will open tournament play at Ohio University in a district semifinal on Sunday, March 1, against the winner of the No. 8 Gallia Academy/No. 9 Vinton County being played on the 23rd.

Logan Elm picked up the No. 7 seed and will host No. 10 McClain at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23rd. The winner will play No. 2 Unioto at 5:30 on March 1 at Ohio University.

Westfall is the No. 11 seed and travels to No. 6 Meigs on Monday, Feb. 23. The winner will take on No. 3 Washington Court House at 7:15, March 1, at Ohio University. 

Central District Division V

Amanda-Clearcreek begins the postseason on Saturday, Feb. 28, with a trip to Africentric. The Aces are the 10 seed, and the Nubians are No. 9. 

(Girls) Central District Division II

Postseason brackets for girls in Division I and Division II also were announced Sunday. 

Teays Valley is the 3 seed in Division II. The Vikings will host the winner of No. 9 Mount Vernon and No. 11 Logan on Feb. 24.
