WILLIAMSPORT — A turnover-free effort resulted in a big performance for Westfall as the Mustangs turned in a 62-28 win over Southeastern Friday night.
“For the first time in a few weeks, we didn’t have any turnovers,” Westfall coach Logan Stepp told WKKJ’s Scoreboard Show. “We played at a high-level tonight.”
After briefly trailing 8-7 in the first quarter, the Mustangs scored the next four touchdowns and followed a Panthers score with two more before halftime to lead 48-14 at the break.
“As good as our offense played, our defense played well and our special teams played well,” Stepp said.
Among the highlights for the Mustangs, Cade Hall had two rushing touchdowns and one receiving, Trent Walters returned kickoffs 75 and 80 yards for touchdowns and threw a touchdown pass, Bryce Wickline threw three touchdowns and Carson Deskins went 8-8 on extra point attempts.
Friday’s effort was Westfall’s highest scoring output since a 62-13 win over Southeastern in week seven of the 1993 season.

The Mustangs (3-3, 1-2) head to Zane Trace Friday. The Pioneers (4-2, 3-0) were 35-12 winners over Huntington (0-6, 0-3).
