Braves down Rangers; Aces notch 11th win

OBETZ — A couple early runs saw the lead go back and forth before Logan Elm got control on the way to a 42-31 win over Hamilton Township. 

The Braves got out to a 9-2 lead only to have the Rangers score the next 14 points to go up 16-9. LE finished the half on a 14-3 run to lead 23-19 at the break. 

The Braves extended their lead to 29-21 at the end of the third.

Kiannah Ingram had a game-high 15 points to lead the Braves with Kennedy Groff scoring eight, Kimmy Petty seven and Cadence Haupt six.

The Braves (7-7, 3-5) return to action next Friday hosting Circleville.

Aces in control against Nelsonville-York

AMANDA — Amanda-Clearcreek had a strong start and then a big second half from Kaylie Wilson kept Nelsonville-York at bay as the Aces grabbed a 58-38 non-league win Thursday night. 

Taylor Evans had 10 of her 12 in the first half as the Aces got out to a 24-13 lead and then Wilson had 11 in the third and 12 in the fourth to lift the Aces to their 11th win of the season. 

Wilson finished the night with 26 points. 

Hailey Sowers added nine for AC (11-3). 

Airah Levy had 14 of her 15 in the second half to lead Nelsonville-York (7-5). 

The Aces head to Circleville Saturday night for a showdown with the MSL-leading Tigers.
