Mid-State League coaches recently convened to select the season’s top players.
Fairfield Union senior Caleb Schmelzer was named the boys’ Player of the Year for the Buckeye Division and Bloom-Carroll senior Emily Bratton was named Player of the Year for girls’ division.
Circleville’s Brian Bigam receives the Championship Coach’s Award for leading the Tigers to an undefeated regular season and Buckeye Division title.
As co-champions of the Buckeye Division on the boys’ side, Teays Valley’s Brian Barnett and Bloom-Carroll’s Ryan Davis win the Championship Coach’s Award.
