BEXLEY — Teays Valley got out to strong start as the 14th-seeded Vikings took down No. 10 Dublin Jerome 55-36 Wednesday night.
The Vikings (17-8) held Jerome to nine points in each of the four quarters in getting out to a 17-9 lead and 27-18 at the half. A 15-9 third had the Vikings leading 42-27.
Four TV players reached double figures Wednesday with Tessa Horsley scoring 15, Gabrielle Watkins with 14, Kennedy Younkin with 12 and Alyssa Horsley added 10 points.
The Vikings advance to a district championship game Saturday night against No. 1 seed Pickerington Central at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Ohio Dominican University. Pickerington was a 61-25 winner over Olentangy Berlin in the other semifinal.
