CIRCLEVILLE — Evan Callihan has been announced as the next head coach of the Circleville boys’ basketball program.
Callihan’s appointment is pending approval by the board of education at its meeting on Wednesday.
He takes over from Cody Carpenter who spent the last five seasons at the helm for the Tigers.
Callihan was an assistant with the boys’ basketball team this past season as well as the head boys’ soccer coach.
A 2011 Circleville graduate, Callihan spent seven seasons as an assistant with the CHS girls’ program before taking the head coaching job with Waverly’s boys for the 2022-23 season.
A “Meet the coach” event is planned for 6 p.m. Thursday at the Circleville High School auditorium.
