Bloom-Carroll 49, Logan Elm 14
CIRCLEVILLE — A number of big plays keyed Bloom-Carroll’s 49-14 win at Logan Elm Friday night.
The Bulldogs (5-2, 4-0) had a 14-7 lead when they returned a punt 64 yards for a score. Another BC TD made it 28-7 at halftime.
The visitors scored first in the second half with a 65-yard interception return. A 34-yard run made it 42-7 before the quarter was over.
BC added one more score on a 40-yard pass.
The Braves capped the night’s scoring with a 26-yard pass from Austin Holbrook to Tyler Bowlby.
LE’s first score came on a four-yard pass from Holbrook to Blake Summers.
Holbrook threw for 125 yards as he completed 11 of his 23 attempts. He also ran for 37 yards.
Conner Kint had two catches for 39 yards and Bowlby had three for 38.
The Braves (1-6, 1-3) host Amanda-Clearcreek (3-4, 1-2) next week.
Hamilton Township 49, Circleville 35
OBETZ — Circleville had the game tied early in the fourth quarter but Hamilton Township got the last two scores from quarterback Lucas King as the Rangers came out on top 49-35.
Kole Nungester had a rushing TD to open the game’s scoring for CHS. QB Hudson Phalin ran in a short score for the second Circleville touchdown.
Phalin had two rushing TDs in the third.
A 33-yard pass from Phalin to Lamont Holloway accounted for Circleville’s fifth score.
The Tigers (5-2, 2-2) travel to Fairfield Union next week.
Canal Winchester 49, Teays Valley 14
CANAL WINCHESTER — Canal Winchester broke a 68-yard scoring run on the fourth play of the game and never looked back on the way to beating visiting Teays Valley 49-14. Friday night.
The Indians (6-1, 3-1) had built their lead to 42-0 by halftime.
The Vikings got their points on a 21-yard Carson Payne scamper late in the third and added another score on a four-yard pass from Brady Farmer to Peter Graham.
The Vikings (4-3, 2-2) return home to take on Newark (3-4, 1-3) next week.
