Statesmen rally past Bobcats

Maren McCallister helped New Hope Christian overcome a fourth-quarter deficit on Friday in a 48-42 non-league win over Grandview Heights.
The Statesmen entered the final period trailing 33-30 when McCallister went on a 12-point scoring outburst. Eden Leist added a pair of buckets during the 18-9 run and Lauren Smith also had a basket.
McCallister led all scorers with 29 points and Leist added eight.
Rachel Hartman had 12 points to pace the Bobcats.
The Statesmen (5-5) are back in action on Saturday when they host Bloom-Carroll.

Westfall 28

Casey Cline and Luke Blackburn scored seven points apiece for Westfall on Friday in a 32-28 Scioto Valley Conference loss against host Huntington.
The Mustangs (5-12, 3-8) travel to South Gallia today for a non-conference tilt.
Bloom-Carroll 55,
Teays Valley 38

Bloom-Carroll amassed 21 points during fourth quarter on Friday to pull away for a 55-38 Mid-State League Buckeye Division win over visiting Teays Valley.
The Bulldogs entered the final period already leading 34-28.
Eli Burgett led the Vikings with eight points, Camden Primmer contributed seven points, six rebounds and four assists, and Peyton Weiler and Liam Sachs also tossed in six points apiece.
Evan Dozer poured in a game-high 22 points for the Bulldogs (11-5, 8-3).
The Vikings (6-7, 6-4) host Fairfield Union on Saturday for a league game.
