Tigers moving up to Division III for 2022 season

A pair of Mid-State League Buckeye Division schools are moving up a division for the upcoming 2022 football season. The Ohio High School Athletic Association released divisional breakdowns and regional assignments on Monday, which resulted in Circleville and two-time defending Region 15 champion Bloom-Carroll moving from Division IV, Region 15 to Division III, Region 11. Enrollment growth in both districts were the reason for the change. The Tigers and Bulldogs will be joined by Hamilton Township in their new region. CHS girls track and field wins district championship

Led by strong performances in the dash, running events and relays, combined with contributions from their field events, the Circleville girls track and field team has some new hardware for the high school trophy case. The Tigers brought back a Division II Southeast District championship trophy on Saturday after topping the 13-school field at Washington Court House. Circleville finished first with 121 points, followed by district runner-up Unioto with 104 and McClain taking third with 71.50. Faith Yancey won the 100 in 13.13 and the 200 in 26.44.
