Braves, Tigers fall in MSL-Buckeye action

After a close first half, Fairfield Union asserted itself in the final two quarters of play to claim a 58-32 Mid-State League Buckeye Division win over visiting Circleville.
The Tigers trailed 24-20 at halftime, but the Falcons controlled the second half by a 34-12 count.
Gabby McConnell paced the Tigers with 17 points and Faith Yancey added nine.
The Tigers (1-3, 0-2) continue league play on Tuesday when they host Logan Elm.

Hamilton Township controlled the second half on Friday to record a 39-26 MSL-Buckeye win over host Logan Elm.
After scoring three points in the first quarter, the Braves were able to cut their deficit down to 14-11 at halftime, paced by Cadence Haupt with four points.
The Rangers outscored the Braves 14-5 in the third quarter to take a 28-16 lead.
Maggie Wilson led the Braves with nine points, Haupt had six and Clara Wilson added four.
The Braves (0-4, 0-2) travel to Southeastern today for a non-league game.
New Hope Christian 66,
Fairview (Ky.) 24

New Hope had a 20-point outburst in the first quarter on its way to a 66-24 win over Fairview.
Maren McCallister posted a game-high 21 points, Jenna Tripp tallied 12 and Eden Leist added 10 for the Stateswomen.
