Mustangs 6, Logan Elm 4
A big opening innning wasn’t enough for host Logan Elm as Westfall chipped away to grab a 6-4 win Tuesday night.
After falling behind 4-0 in the first inning, the Mustangs put a run across in the second, two in the third and three in the fourth to grab the non-league softball win.Â
Olivia Dumm got the win for the Mustangs as she held the Braves scoreless the after first inning. She struck out six and walked three in the game as well as going 2-4 at the plate.Â

Bickenheuser drove in three runs for Westall.
A grand slam from Clifton was responsible for LE’s runs in the first.
King took the loss for the Braves allowing the six runs (three earned) on seven hits with six strikeouts and two walks.

Mustangs 3, Logan Elm 2
A three-run first inning was what Westfall needed to defeat host Logan Elm 3-2 Tuesday afternoon as the spring season got started.
Trent Walters walked to open the game, moved up on a single by Ashton Nunemaker and scored on a single by Peyton Weiss to get Westfall on the board. And then a two-out grounder from Seth Gifford resulted in an error allowing Nunemaker and Weiss to score for a quick 3-0 lead for the Mustangs.
Logan Elm got on the board in the fourth inning after loading the bases. A balk brought in Braylen Baker to score LE’s fist run.
A fielder’s choice off the bat of Nick Affolter resulted in Colton Eplin beng thrown out at home for LE.
Carson Summers then walked to load the bases again and Blayton Reid was hit by a pitch to force in LE’s second run.Â
A strikeout then ended LE’s scoring chances in the fourth.

Weiss went the distance on the mound for the Mustangs giving up three hits and two earned runs while striking out 14 and walking two.
Garret Summers took the loss for the Braves allowing the three runs (one earned) while striking out eight and walking three.
