COLUMBUS — Circleville’s Faith Yancey earned herself a spot in Saturday’s Division II finals.
The sophomore had the eighth-fastest time in Friday’s 200-meter preliminaries held at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on the Campus of The Ohio State University.Â

Yancey ran the 200 meters in 26.02 seconds, knocking .42 seconds off her regional result.
Chaminade-Julienne’s Jadyn Haywood had the fastest time in the prelims at 24.60.
Yancey will return to Jesse Owens Stadium Saturday for the Division II 200-meter finals, which are slated to begin at 2:40 p.m.

Circleville seniors Lily Winter and Addison Lowe wrapped up their high school careers Friday.Â
Winter qualified in the 400 meters, 800-meter relay and 1,600-meter relay.
Winter ran the 400 in 60.54 seconds, which was 17th fastest Friday.
Lowe was on the 800-meter and 1,600-meter relay teams.
The 800-meter relay, which also included Yancey and freshman Makya Cockerham, finished 17th with a time of 1:47.95.
The 1,600-meter relay, which had sophomore Ellie Patrick and Yancey joining the seniors, was 16th fastest in 4:12.49.
