Westfall carried over the confidence from a 97-point explosion over Scioto Valley Conference rival Huntington a night earlier and was able to get off to another strong start on Saturday night as it routed visiting Wellston 64-36 in a non-conference game.
Brody Clark drilled four more three-pointers to bombard the Golden Rockets en route to a game-high 28 points, Casey Cline followed with 15 points and three steals, Blaec Bugher scored six points and dished out seven assists, and Henry Barnes added six points and four rebounds.
“I thought our kids played confident tonight,” Westfall coach Christian Meister said. “Hopefully we can use this momentum heading into our last two SVC games and in the tournament. This weekend was a testament of the unselfishness of our team.”

Five players scored in the opening quarter, led by Clark knocking down a pair of baskets, as the Mustangs pulled ahead for an early 12-7 lead.
Clark connected on five field goals during the second quarter and scored 11 points in helping the Mustangs extend their advantage to 27-18 at halftime.
Cline led the way coming out of the break, knocking down five field goals of his own and scoring 11 points, while Clark hit another three baskets, including his third triple of the night, as the Mustangs pulled away for a 49-30 advantage.
Gunner Harmon had 14 points and Will Brigg added 12 for the Golden Rockets (6-12).
The Mustangs (11-9) resume conference play on Tuesday when they host Unioto.
