Vikings hosting 27 teams for Central Ohio Shootout

The Teays Valley High School campus will be a hotbed of basketball activity this week.

The boys basketball team is slated to host 27 varsity and junior varsity teams in the Central Ohio Shootout on Wednesday and the girls are scheduled to have 40 varsity and junior varsity teams on campus for their second annual Rumble in the Valley on Thursday.

Six of the eight schools in the Mid-State League Buckeye Division are slated to participate in the Central Ohio Shootout, with Amanda-Clearcreek, Bloom-Carroll, Circleville, Liberty Union and Logan Elm slated to join the defending league co-champion Vikings.

Each boys game will consist of two 18-minute halves with continuous running clock until the final two minutes of each half when the clock is stopped on dead balls.
