Newton Hoops passed for 328 yards and three touchdowns on Friday in leading Unioto to a 29-10 non-league win over visiting Amanda-Clearcreek.
Landon Mills scored on a 34-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to put the Aces ahead 7-6, following an extra point by Hayden Dunn.
Unioto (2-0) came back with a touchdown to take a 13-7 lead into halftime.
Dunn nailed a 30-yard field goal to narrow the A-C deficit to 13-10, but Unioto countered with the final 16 points of the night.
Tommy Stai had 15 carries for 76 yards and Mills covered 57 yards on eight touches to lead the Aces.
Amanda-Clearcreek (1-1) travels to Adena (0-2), who lost 45-43 to Fairfield Christian, next week.
