ASHVILLE – Teays Valley picked up a straight-set win over visiting Amanda-Clearcreek Thursday night 25-23, 25-12, 25-23.
Ellie Tatman was 21-21 serving with five aces and 21-21 on serve reception. She had 14 digs and three assists in the match as well. Tessa Bradley was 12-14 serving with a pair of aces while also recording 14 digs and three assists. Kendall Burget was 9-9 serving and had 16 assists and nine digs.
Baileigh Rieder was 17-19 hitting with 11 kills and two blocks. Allie Carter had 10 kills on 19-20 hitting with two assisted blocks. Jenna Pence had six kills and Riley Fortier added five. Brenna Carothers had three kills with seven serve receptions and three digs.
Teays Valley (7-6, 4-4) is back in action Tuesday at Logan Elm.
Falcons fight back to defeat Braves
LANCASTER – Logan Elm got out to a 2-0 lead, but Fairfield Union battled back and took Thursday’s match in five 11-25, 22-25, 25-15, 25-22, 15-6.
Claire King led the Braves with 28 kills. Adelyn Smith had seven skills and Hannah Rhoads, Addison Smith and Alliana Hutchison each had six kills.
Sadie Binkley was 25-25 on serves, Lynsay Vanhoose was 19-19 and Kiannah Ingram was 17-17. Each had two aces.
Vanhoose had 25 digs and Ingram added 21.
Rhoads led the team with 44 assists.
The Braves (10-5, 4-4) host Teays Valley Tuesday.
