KINNIKINNICK — Westfall got the quick lead but it was Zane Trace scoring the next six touchdowns on the way to a 42-14 win Friday night.
Trent Walters got Westfall off to a big start with a 72-yard fumble return for the 7-0 lead.
But some short fields thanks to not converting on fourth down and a blocked punt help ZT to a 14-7 advantage by the end of the quarter.
The Pioneers added a pair of rushing touchdowns in the second quarter and two more in the third to go up 42-7.
Joey Wright added a 14-yard run for the Mustangs in the fourth.
Zane Trace did most of its damage on the ground as it ran the ball 52 times for 342 yards.
Senior Riley Hartsaugh had 18 carries for 219 yards and scored three times to lead the Pioneers.
Bryce Wickline led the Mustangs with 60 yards on the ground and he threw for another 100.
Joey Wright added 47 yards on the ground and Cade Hall was the leading receiver with 51 yards on three catches while Walters had six catches for 30 yards.
Westfall (3-4, 1-3) hosts Adena (1-6, 1-3) on Friday. Zane Trace (5-2, 4-0) heads to Unioto (6-1, 4-0) in a battle for the top of the SVC standings
