Thirteen schools converged on Pickaway Golf Course Monday for a Central District Division I girls sectional.
Grove City came out on top with a score 350, Hilliard Darby was second with a score of 353 and Gahanna-Lincoln was third with 370 as the top three teams advance to next week’s district tournament at The Links at Echo Springs next Wednesday.
Teays Valley placed eighth with a score of 409.
Adison Abele was the top scorer for the Vikings with a 97. Makinna Paxton came through with a 99, Brooklyn Lowry shot 103, Sarah Laxton had a 110 and Morgan Laxton shot 114.
Brielle Starnes from Darby and Saylor Wharff from Marietta shared medalist honors Monday as they both shot rounds of 76.
Wharff will advance to next week’s district tournament as an individual along with Canal Winchester’s Anna Machamer (82) and CW’s Hailey Boss (84).
