Roundup: Westfall boys get rare win over Logan Elm; Lady Aces notch road win

Westfall picked up its second win in as many tries this season in defeating cross-county rival Logan Elm 45-39 Tuesday night. 

It was the first time the Mustangs have come out on top of this Pickaway County matchup since 2001. 

The Mustangs went to the line 18 times in the fourth quarter, converting 12, to hold off the Braves.

Brody Clark led the Mustangs with 13 points, seven coming from the line in the fourth quarter as he was 11-12 on free throws for the game. He also pulled down seven rebounds. Bryan Craig had six of his 10 in the fourth and Joe Wray had nine, all in the first half. 

Nemiah Waugh led the Braves with 18 points, including going 8-9 at the line, while Aiden Williams had 11 and Brody Sabine put in nine.

Aces grab league win at Fairfield Union

WEST RUSHVILLE — A 16-6 second quarter helped Amanda-Clearcreek pick up a 45-33 win at Fairfield Union Tuesday night. 

The Aces had five players score in that decisive quarter.

Kaylie Wilson led AC with 14 points and Taylor Evans put in 11.

Maycee Martindill led FU with 14.
