Aces take down Barons, Braves fall to Panthers

DELAWARE — Taylor Evans and Kaylie Wilson each put in 19 points to lead Amanda-Clearcreek to a 50-39 win at Buckeye Valley Saturday.

Evans did most of her damage at the free throw line where she hit all 11 of her attempts — seven in the fourth quarter.

Wilson got it done behind the arc as she hit five three-pointers in the contest. 

The Barons had a 13-12 lead after the first quarter, but the Aces led 26-22 at the half and 33-27 after three quarters. 

The Aces (9-1) return to the hardwood Friday with a trip to Teays Valley.

Braves fall to Panthers

CHILLICOTHE — Logan Elm fell on the road Saturday to Southeastern 67-59.

The Panthers (9-2) had a 16-12 lead after the first quarter and were up at each break.

Kiannah Ingram led the Braves with 24, followed by Kimmy Petty with 16 and Kennedy Groff with eight.  

Southeastern’s Gracie Brown led all scorers with 25, followed by Reese Ruckel with 18 and Gabby Parrell with 16.  

Logan Elm (6-5) returns to action Friday with a trip to Fairfield Union for an MSL matchup.
