Circleville grabbed a 54-46 non-league win Wednesday night over visiting Hillsboro.
The Tigers (9-6) got out to a 15-8 lead in the first quarter behind seven points from Preston Hulse, four from Briley Cramer and two each from Drew Thornsley and Slater Search.
By halftime, the Tigers were up 28-18.
The teams played even in the third and Circleville held on in the fourth for the win.
“It was a solid win for us tonight to help us toward the tournament,” CHS coach Cody Carpenter said. “Hillsboro is a scrappy team that can shoot very well.
“Our length hurt them some and we were able to get out in transition tonight.’
Cramer led Circleville with 19 points, nine in the fourth. The 19 points takes Cramer to 1,107 for his career and moves him into second all-time among Circleville boys’ basketball players.
Search added 10 points, 12 rebounds and four assists for the Tigers and Ed Kirk had nine points and seven rebounds.
After being held scoreless in the first quarter, Jack Howland put in 19 for the Indians (7-7).
The Tigers are back in action Friday night hosting Logan Elm.
