Circleville moves up to 4 in latest poll

With a couple more wins under its belt, Circleville moved up to No. 4 in the latest Associated Press girls’ basketball poll.

The Tigers (18-0) were ranked as the fifth-best team in the state for the first three weeks of the AP poll, but a 3-0 week coupled with a 1-2 week for St. Vincent/St. Mary led to the Tigers moving up a spot and the Irish dropping two spots. Copley moved from six to five.

The top three spots in Division II remained the same with Purcell Marian staying No. 1 followed by Sheridan and Fairland.

Along with Sheridan, Fairland and Circleville, the Southeast District is represented in the top 10 by Unioto at No. 8.

Pickerington Central (18-3) holds on to No. 1 in Division I, Miami East (21-0) remains atop Division III and Fort Loramie maintains the top position in Division IV.
