Cramer’s big night lifts Tigers over Athens

THE PLAINS — Briley Cramer had a big night as Circleville picked up an 80-46 road win against Athens Wednesday. 

The senior put in 46 points for the Tigers in the win – the second time this season he’s hit for 40 or more. 

“I’m very happy for Briley. He’s definitely earned it with the time and commitment he’s put in,” Circleville coach Cody Carpenter said. 

Cramer had eight in the first quarter as Circleville got out to a 19-11 lead. He had all 16 of Circleville’s points in the second quarter as the Tigers expanded their lead to 35-22.

Cramer added 10 more in the third and capped the night with 12 in the fourth.

And he wasn’t the only Tiger scoring as Preston Hulse put in 13 and Ed Kirk added 12. 

Eason Nuzum led Athens (4-15) with 18 points and Zachariah Mullins had 14. 

The Tigers (10-9) head over to Fairfield Union Friday night.
