Tigers surpass 2019 win total with 6-0 shutout of Generals

The growth of the Circleville girls soccer team has been evident in the opening eight days of the season.

Circleville surpassed its total of two wins from a season ago just four matches into this campaign on Saturday, claiming a 6-0 non-league win over visiting Sheridan.

Nilyn Cockerham led the way for the red-and-black with four goals and an assist. Faith Yancey provided the other two goals.

Payton Ford and Alaina Francis each had an assist for their respective first varsity point.

Abby Denger had four saves and a clean sheet to finish the afternoon for the Tigers (3-1), who return to the home pitch on Wednesday for a non-league match against Fisher Catholic.
