Mustangs sweep Shermans; Braves fall to Rangers

Westfall turned in a clean sweep on Thursday to defeat visiting Unioto 25-15, 25-21 and 25-17 in a Scioto Valley Conference match.
Kristin Phillips put away 19 kills to go with eight digs and a pair of solo blocks; Marissa Mullins contributed 16 kills, served three aces and added nine digs; Claire Latham distributed 43 assists and had 10 digs; Ashley Hegarty turned in seven kills; Gabby Patete had six kills; Kayla Fleischmann turned in eight digs and Lauren Daniels added six.
The Mustangs (10-2, 9-1) host Canal Winchester on Saturday for a non-conference match.

Logan Elm 1

Logan Elm split the first two sets of a Mid-State League Buckeye Division match on Thursday, but lost momentum from there in a 24-26, 25-18, 18-25 and 11-25 loss to host Hamilton Township.
Arowynn Savage tallied nine kills and 15 digs, Maraya Neff had eight kills, two aces and 10 digs; Aubrie Kimbrough contributed eight kills and 16 digs; Alex Heeter dished out 16 assists to go with six digs; Carlee Reed distriuted 11 assists and had five digs; Kaiya Elsea paced the defense with 22 digs and also served a pair of aces.
The Braves (5-11, 2-7) host Zane Trace on Saturday for a non-league match.
