
A number of area football players were recognized this week by being named all-Southeast or Central District.
In the Southeast District, Logan Elm senior quarterback Conner Robinson (127-209 passing for 1,981 yards and 27 touchdowns; 331 yards rushing and eight touchdowns; and senior wide receivers Gabe Chalfin (26 receptions for 458 yards and nine touchdowns) and Jason Sailor (38 receptions for 486 yards and seven touchdowns) were all named to the first-team offense in Division IV.
Logan Elm senior lineman Collin Roar (20 tackles, including four for loss, and three sacks) and senior defensive back Cole Westenbarger (25 tackles and three interceptions), and Circleville junior lineman Mike Clark all made special mention.
Westfall senior linebacker Josey Kelly (75 tackles, including eight for loss, two interceptions and three sacks) was named to the first-team defense in Division V.
Senior teammates lineman Joey Truman, quarterback Marcus Whaley (accounted for over 65 percent of Mustangs’ offense) and wide receiver Luke Blackburn (29 receptions for 403 yards and three touchdowns) all made special mention.
In the Central District, Teays Valley senior defensive lineman Zion Bowling (32 tackles, including 11 for loss, and 10 sacks) was named to the first-team in Division II.
Teays Valley junior lineman AJ Moniaci was named to the second-team offense, while junior linebacker Peyton Weiler and senior defensive lineman Liam Wison (31 tackles, including 10 for loss, and 11 sacks) landed on the second-team defense.
Senior linebacker Cooper Booth (52 tackles) and junior quarterback Tyler Love (547 yards total offense and five touchdowns) both made honorable mention.
Amanda-Clearcreek senior lineman Anthony Buckley was named to the first-team offense and junior linebacker Cade Young (73 tackles, including 14 for loss, and six sacks) landed on the first-team defense in Division V.
Senior linebacker Quinton Lott (82 tackles, including nine for loss, two sacks and two interceptions), junior defensive back Tayvon Miller (42 tackles and four interceptions) and junior quarterback Nate Hunter (69-126 passing for 1,009 yards and six touchdowns; 167 yards rushing and four scores) all made special mention.
