The No. 11 seeded Braves took the lead for good with a five-run second.
After scoring a run in the third and another in the fourth, the Braves put away their tournament opener with a six-run fifth.
Carly King put the Braves on the scoreboard with an RBI single to center to score Avree Entler.
After an error allowed Jacie Clifton to score, Lynsay Vanhoose smacked a two-run double to center to score Kylie Smith and a courtesy runner to make it 4-0.
Callena Wiget drove in the final run of the inning on a double to center that scored Vanhoose.
King checked the sixth-seeded Tigers (13-9) to four hits and three earned runs over five innings to notch the win. She walked a batter and struck out three.
Wiget and Vanhoose each went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and King helped her own cause by going 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Entler was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored and Clifton was 2-for-3 with an RBI and run scored.
The Braves (11-9) travel to Frontier Athletic Conference champion Hillsboro on Wednesday for a sectional final.

Eleven players contributed to a 23-hit outburst on Monday as Teays Valley opened tournament play with a 23-0 run-rule win over visiting Franklin Heights.
The Vikings scored eight times in the first and 10 more times in the second to run away with the Division I Central District sectional semifinal.
Alyssa Brown was a perfect 5-for-5 with three RBIs and three runs scored, Kyra Darnell went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and four runs scored, Reagan Mengerink was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored, Kadance Fraley was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored and Faith Thompson went 2-for-2 with four RBIs and two runs scored. Jaimlynne Munson added a grand slam.
Madison Cline worked the first two frames, allowed a hit and struck out three.
The Vikings (16-7) host No. 17 seeded Westerville North on Wednesday for a sectional final.

Luke Blackburn tossed a complete game one-hitter on Monday, sending host Westfall to a 2-0 non-conference win over Amanda-Clearcreek.
Blackburn needed 92 pitches to navigate his way through the Aces, yielding only a single to Anthony Buckley. The Westfall senior walked three and struck out nine batters.
The Mustangs took a 1-0 lead in the first and tacked on an insurance run in the fifth.
Peyton Weiss was 1-for-2 with an RBI and Titan Williams was 1-for-2 with an RBI and run scored.
The Aces (10-11) host Johnstown today for a non-league game and the Mustangs (17-6) travel to Chillicothe on Thursday for a non-conference tilt.

Logan Elm scored the first six runs of a non-league game on Monday and then held off visiting Huntington for a 10-7 win.
Jeremy Wietelmann went 3-for-4 and scored three times and Gabe Chalfin was 2-for-4 with two runs scored a pair of RBI.
Peyton Anderson tossed four innings and allowed three runs to take the win for the Braves (7-16), who travel to Logan today to continue non-league play.

Circleville scored three times in the sixth to break a tie and defeat host Berne Union on Monday in a non-league game played at Beavers Field.
Nolan West was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored and Evan Justice went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.
Nick Burns earned the win in relief, going three and one-third innings. He allowed two hits, walked a batter and struck out five for the Tigers (13-11), who host Chillicothe today for another non-league tilt.

Fairfield Union used a four-run fourth to seize the lead for good on Monday and defeat visiting Teays Valley 5-3 in a Mid-State League Buckeye Division contest.
The Vikings scored a run each in the second, third and seventh innings.
Tyler Love had two hits and scored for the Vikings (15-8, 9-5), who travel to DeSales on Wednesday for a non-league game.

Teays Valley swept the singles courts with Eli Burgett defeating Jonah Halm 6-0 and 6-0, Jack Kennedy topping Landon Ripetti 6-1 and 6-1 and Owen Kennedy defeating Colin Halen 6-4 and 6-5.
Zach Helenthal and Landon Zealer scored a 7-5 and 6-3 win in doubles over Chillicothe’s Ethan Griffith and Kayla Penn. Chillicothe’s Katie Conner and Carlee Woods won 7-5 and 7-5 at first doubles over Coen VanScoter and McCoy Samlow.
