Tuesday’s roundup: Mustangs walk off with win over Lions

Westfall rallied with two runs in its final at-bat on Tuesday to defeat visiting Fairfield 6-5 in non-conference action.
The Mustangs entered the seventh with a 4-2 lead, but Fairfield scored three times to take its first lead of the night at 5-4.
Westfall started its response in the home seventh when Ashton Nunemaker doubled to left and was joined on the base pads when Caden Foreman worked a walk.
After a double steal, Hunter McCoy doubled to left to drive in both runs and send the Mustangs to their 18th win of the season.
Titan Williams was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored and Trent Walters also enjoyed a 2-for-4 evening with a run scored.
Williams earned the win in a complete game effort, allowing seven hits and five runs (three earned). The Westfall senior walked two and struck out eight.
Westfall (18-6) continues non-conference play on Thursday at Chillicothe.

Logan 2

Logan Elm scored in all of its at-bats except for one on Tuesday to defeat host Logan 9-2 in a non-league tilt.
Braylen Baker went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored, Gabe Chalfin also went 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored and Brody McDonald was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Baker also earned the win on the bump with a complete game effort that included yielding just three hits and a pair of unearned runs. The LE sophomore walked three and struck out eight.
The Braves (8-16) travel to Beavers Field on Thursday for a non-league twin bill against Berne Union.
Chillicothe 5,
Circleville 4

Chillicothe broke a tie with a run in the fourth on Tuesday and defeated host Circleville 5-4 in a non-league game.
Wyatt Allison was 1-for-1 with an RBI and two walks and Max Brooks went 1-for-2 with an RBI and run scored.
The Tigers (13-12) host London today for another non-league encounter.
