Tigers ranked 11th in state poll

A trio of schools from the Mid-State League Buckeye Division and Scioto Valley Conference were ranked in the first Associated Press state football poll of the season.

Unbeaten Circleville checked in 11th in Division III.

The Tigers are off to their best start since 2015 and host two-time defending state semifinalist Bloom-Carroll (2-1) on Friday to open Mid-State League Buckeye Division play.

In the Scioto Valley Conference, unbeaten Unioto checked in eighth in Division IV and 3-0 Zane Trace was 14th in Division V.


A statewide panel of media voters compiled the list.
