Zane Trace took a 22-0 lead into halftime on Friday and didn’t look back as it remained unbeaten with a 48-0 Scioto Valley Conference win over host Westfall.
Dylan Hines put the Pioneers on the scoreboard with a seven-yard run late in the first quarter, followed by a two-point conversion toss to Lane Stewart, that put Zane Trace ahead 8-0.
Hines connected with Stewart on touchdown passes of 12 and 31 yards in the second quarter to expand the lead.
The Pioneers averaged a first down every time they rushed the football on 28 carries for 312 yards (an 11.1 yard average).
Zane Trace finished with 407 yards of total offense to just 139 for Westfall.

Bryce Wickline completed 13 of 24 passes for 79 yards for the Mustangs, with Casey Cline making two grabs for 25 yards.
Joey Wright had 25 yards rushing on eight attempts.
The Mustangs (2-4, 1-2) travel to Adena (2-4, 1-2) next week, while the Pioneers (6-0, 3-0) host Unioto (6-0, 3-0) in a battle of unbeatens.
Adena is coming off a 42-0 setback last night against Unioto.
