Logan Elm senior RJ Weber will next play football at Wilmington College, an NCAA Division III institution. Weber was a first-team Pickaway County, Mid-State League Buckeye Division, Southeast District selection and also earned honorable mention All-Ohio recognition for helping the Braves to an 8-3 record, the county championship and a home playoff game. The senior lineman recorded 56 tackles.
Question: Talk to us about the recruiting process that you went through, how many schools that you looked at and what made Wilmington the right fit for you?
Answer: I had Otterbein look at me pretty hard and I went on a game day visit and had a visit there with them. When I went to Wilmington, I felt like I was at Logan Elm, out in the country with fields. I felt like I was at home.
Question: What would you like to major in at Wilmington?
Answer: Criminal Justice, because I want to be on the State Highway Patrol.
Question: What has led to your success in football? What are your strengths as an athlete and what are a few areas you’ve had to work at the hardest to improve?
Answer: My coaches, my family especially my father I wouldn’t be where I’m at if he didn’t push me every day in the backyard. I’m pretty strong and I know football really well. I personally need to work on is my foot work and my speed.
Question: What were some of your top memories from your senior season?
Answer: Top memories are hitting people when they run slants on me in 7 on 7. I really love the water breaks on summer days when the team just started roasting each other with jokes.

Question: Is there a football player that you look up to and try to emulate?
Answer: Ray Lewis, I used to watch and listen to his hype up video when I was little. I always played like him. I always be saying in the locker I’m Ray Lewis today someone going to get Rock.
Question: Favorite meal?
Answer: Spaghetti and meatballs are hands down the best

Answer: Thirsty Parrot

Answer: Country music

Answer: I like going to the gym, hunting and fishing, hanging out with friends and hanging out with my girlfriend.

Answer: Thanksgiving, because I like food.
Question: What is your most valuable possession?
Answer: My Great Grandfather’s gun
Question: Something that no one knows about you?
Answer: I cannot cook well.
Question: What is the best vacation you’ve ever been on in your life?
Answer: When I was little around 10 years old, my family and I went to Daytona Beach, Florida to see my great grandparents and my aunt. On our second night there, my family and I went fishing and I caught a big old red fish.
Question: Favorite memory from the Circleville Pumpkin Show?
Answer: My buddies and I were betting with each other on who buys food that night. We were betting on the kids racing the bikes. I got second, so I got lucky.
Question: What do you see yourself doing 10 years from now and living if life goes as you intend?
Answer: I see myself being a State Trooper on the K-9 unit.
