Logan Elm senior Blayton Reid will next don a helmet to play football for Denison University, an NCAA Division III institution located in Granville. Reid was a first-team Mid-State League Buckeye Division, Southeast District and All-Ohio honoree who led the Braves to an 8-3 record, the Pickaway County championship and a home playoff game.
Question: Talk to us about the recruiting process that you went through, how many schools that you looked at and what made Denison the right fit for you?
Answer: I mainly used Twitter for my recruiting, including putting my highlights and stats on there. The two main schools that I looked at were Denison and Muskingum. I chose Denison because of its great academics and the campus.
Question: What would you like to major in at Denison?
Answer: I plan to major in data analytics, because I’m good at math and it seems like a career that I will have success in.

Question: What has led to your success in football? What are your strengths as an athlete and what are a few areas you’ve had to work at the hardest to improve?
Answer: I believe that my strong work ethic and competitiveness is what led to my success in football. Going into high school, I was very small for a running back, so I spent a lot of time in the weight room building muscle.
Question: What are some of your favorite memories from your time at Logan Elm?
Answer: Beating Zane Trace in overtime to open the 2021 season. Winning the Backyard Brawl three years in a row against Circleville.
Question: What are your goals for when you arrive at Denison and start working out with the Big Red?
Answer: To get as much playing time as possible.
Question: Is there a football player that you look up to and try to emulate?
Answer: Nick Chubb, because of how hard he runs the ball.
Question: Favorite meal?
Answer: Steak, mashed potatoes and green bean casserole
Question: Favorite place to eat out at?
Answer: Raising Canes

Answer: Country
Question: Favorite movie?
Answer: Any Adam Sandler movie.
Question: Hobbies?
Answer: Fishing, riding dirt bikes and eating

Answer: Thanksgiving, because there is lots of food.

Answer: My truck.

Answer: I hate Chipotle.
Question: What is the best vacation you’ve ever been on in your life?
Answer: Taking a dirt bike trip to Colorado.
