The fourth time was the charm, albeit a pretty chilly one on Saturday for the Amanda-Clearcreek softball team.

Hailey Sowers worked a walk and came around to touch the dish on a double to center courtesy of Singleton to put the Aces ahead 7-4.
Singleton advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on a squeeze by Jewell.
Martin went 3-for-4 and scored three times and Singleton was 3-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored to pace the Aces. Haley Robinson and Blosser added two hits apiece.
Freshman Cassidy Steinmetz scattered eight hits and four earned runs over a complete game outing to earn her first varsity win.

Jewell went 3-for-5 with two RBI and three runs scored and Blosser was 3-for-5 and scored three times to lead the Aces. Megan Tooill, Singleton, Steinmetz, Rhymer and Miller added two hits apiece, with Rhymer also driving in three runs and scoring twice.
Bryan and Miller worked the five innings in the circle for the Aces (2-0), who travel to Teays Valley on Tuesday to open Mid-State League Buckeye Division play against the defending league champions.
