Westfall and the other schools at the Hillsboro Invitational on Friday weathered early severe weather before getting a full night of action completed in the Highland County seat.
The Mustangs finished eighth in both the boys and girls fields, with the boys scoring 39 points and the girls tallying 33.

Wilmington topped the 12-school boys field with 111.50 points, followed by Washington Court House (104) and Jackson (97.50).
The Westfall 1600-relay team of Brody Williams, Quinn Eberly, Montae Sutton and Josh Trapp won in 3:40.11 and the 3200-relay squad of Henry Barnes, Wayne Kitchen, Mason Barnes and Trapp turned in a bronze finish of 9:09.03, shaving over 13 seconds off their seed time.
Trapp also finished second in the 800 in 2:08.65.

Wilmington also claimed top billing in the 12-school girls field with 106 points, followed by Miami Trace (101.50) and McClain (98).
Westfall’s Caitlyn Shipley won the 800 in 2:27.94 and Anay Sierra was second in the 3200 in 12:26.11.
The 800-relay team of Summer Hanson, Marianna Packer, Izabella Picklesimer and Shipley finished third in 1:57.08.
