Teays Valley alumnus Brett Carson earned another accolade on Wednesday when he was named an All-American.
Carson was tabbed as an outfielder on the All-American second team by D3baseball.com.
Carson led Marietta College in most offensive statistical categories in the 2023 season. Carson started in all 50 games and batted .419 with 21 doubles, two triples, 12 home runs and 58 RBI. He was also second in the NCAA with 88 hits, third in total bases with 151, and tenth in doubles with 21.

A first-time All-American, Carson’s list of accolades is impressive. He was named the Player of the Year in the Ohio Athletic Conference and in Region VII by both D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association. In addition to earning first team All-OAC and All-Region, Carson was named the Most Valuable Player of the NCAA Regional Tournament.
