A pair of Pickaway County schools took top billing on Thursday to open the season at McClain’s Adam Sharp Invitational held at Buckeye Hills Golf Club.
Logan Elm topped the eight-school field with a nine-hole score of 164, followed by rival Circleville with 168. Jackson took third with 174.

Circleville’s Liam McConnell and Logan Elm’s Graham Williams shared medalist honors with both players firing a 39.
Grant Cline followed Williams with 40, Will Higginbotham shot 42 and Judson Pollock turned in a scorecard of 43. Also playing for the Braves was Parker Calder with 44.
“This was a great way to start the season for the Braves,” Logan Elm coach Rob Griffith said. “We are trying to maintain a winning mindset throughout the season.”
Michael Fernandez and Reid Seimetz both shot 42 to follow McConnell and Brady Reuter turned in a 45. Also playing for the Tigers was Andrew Siembida with a 48.
“It’s a good start to the season for us and I think we learned a few things from today,” Circleville coach Luke McConnell said. ” We started out a bit rough with the putting but settled in after a couple of holes. It’s nice to get back to competing together again.”
The Tigers and Braves return to the links on Friday at the Vinton County Invitational.
