Another match, another program record.
Circleville set yet another program record this season with an 18-hole score of 346 on Saturday to win the second Mid-State League match of the season at Valley View Golf Course in Lancaster.
“I was very pleased with our entire lineup taking each hole for what it was, and not letting a bad hole effect the next one,” Circleville coach Eric Evans said. “We did a tremendous job of limiting mistakes.”
Teays Valley followed in second with 392.
The Tigers had the top three individual scores in the entire field.

Elaina Seeley shot a 32 on the back nine to finish with a medalist scorecard of 70. Isabelle Perini followed with 82, Izzy Seeley fired 87 and Lis Sharp contributed 107.
“Elaina was tremendous on the back nine today, really settling into her round after grinding through the front nine,” Evans praised. “She is showing a maturity that allows her to maintain focus and turn good rounds into great rounds.”
Through two of four matches, the Tigers are undefeated in the league with a 12-0 record as they look to repeat as MSL champions.
Adison Abele led the Vikings with 89, Brooklynn Lowry had 93, Makinna Pinton shot 101 and Sarah Laxton turned in a 109.
Logan Elm finished fifth in the seven-school field with 499.
Addie Lestor shot 113 to lead the Braves, Mallory Stevens tallied 114, Cicely Koch-Esterline fired 120, and Anna and Jessica Fike each turned in a 152.
The third league match of the season is slated for Sept. 13 at the Pickaway Country Club.
