Late goal lifts Lady Tigers

CIRCLEVILLE — Ava Justice netted a goal in the final minutes to lift Circleville to a 2-1 win over visiting Amanda-Clearcreek Monday. 

The game was scoreless for most of the first half until senior Faith Yancey scored in the 33rd minute thanks to an assist from Payton Ford.

The Aces didn’t take long to respond when Emma Strickler tied the game in the 36th minute. 

The game was at a 1-1 tie at the break.

In the second half, the teams battled for another scoreless 37 minutes until Justice was able to take a deflection and put it in the net for a Circleville goal.

The CHS defense held the Aces off for the final three minutes to grab their seventh win of the season.
