Rangers escape Circleville 57-56

With the final seconds counting off, Josh Woods hit a three from the corner to lift Hamilton Township to a 57-56 win over host Circleville Saturday night.

“We got off to another slow start and got down as much as eight or nine,” Circleville coach Cody Carpenter said. “We made some adjustments defensively and started getting stops which led to some transition points.

“In the second half, we did a nice job of running our half court sets to get back into the game and even lead as much as four late in the game.”

Briley Cramer led the Tigers with 17 points, Ed Kirk added 11 and Slater Search had 10. 

Search had 11 rebounds and Kirk pulled down seven.

Jack Kline had seven assists.

Jovan McBride led the Rangers (4-2, 2-1) with 24 points, Woods ended the night with 14 and Hamidou Diallo had 10. 

The Tigers (3-2, 1-2) will look to get back on the winning side when they travel to Teays Valley Friday.
