AMANDA — Westfall had 10 wrestlers place in winning the Jeff Arndt Invitational Saturday at Amanda-Clearcreek High School.

The Mustangs finished with 217.5 points while Logan was second with 208.5 and the host Aces were third with 195. Fifteen teams competed Saturday. 

Wyatt Ward was the top finisher for the Mustangs as he won the 138-pound weight class. 

Noah Furniss (113 pounds), Bryson Campfield (120) and Joey Wright (157) each finished second.

Westfall had a trio of wrestlers place third with Brady Speakman doing it at 106 pounds and Wes Moats and John Siders placing third at 215 and 285 pounds, respectively.

Eli Daniels (150) and Joe Siders (175) each placed six with Canaan Vandine placing eighth at 190.

The Aces had three wrestlers win their weight classes. 

Jacob Durr had a first-round bye and then had four pins to win at 120 pounds. Bodie Martin and Peyton Beavers each had a first-round bye and then went 4-0 to win at 150 pounds and 157 pounds, respectively.

Rees Lown finished second for the Aces at 132 pounds with Kyle Kougher placing third at 138. 

Braylon Hinton (120), Jed Sahr (126) and Zeller McNear (190) each placed fifth and Ben Mead was sixth at 144 pounds. 

The Aces are scheduled to host Logan Elm in a dual Wednesday night and then head to Athens Saturday. Westfall is at Jonathan Alder Friday and Saturday.

Tigers third at Sochia Memorial

ALBANY — Circleville had two wrestlers win their weight classes and six others place in finishing third at the RJ Sochia Memorial hosted by Alexander Saturday. 

Andrew Siembida spent less than four minutes in action on his way to taking the 106-pound title. He won his pool matches by pin in 1:21, 0:11, 0:27 and 0:37 and then beat Huntington’s Aden Breniser in 1:15 for the title. 

Jacob Johnson took the title at 132 pounds with two pins and a win by default in pool play. He won his semifinal by pin in 1:43 and then won an 8-5 decision over Crooksville’s Christian Browning to take the title. 

Athens won the 22-team tournament with 226 points, Philo was second with 204.5 and the Tigers had 196 with Huntington coming in fourth at 168.5.

Other placers for the Tigers included: Ayden Reedy (138 pounds) who took second, Ayden Blue (175) who was third, Keith Maddox (120) who was fourth, Noah Jones (157) who was fourth, Jon Perez (126) who was sixth and Braylon Morgan (215) who was sixth. 

Lady Tigers eighth

LONDON — Circleville placed eighth at the 14-team Girls Golden Eagle Classic at Madison Plains High School Saturday. 

Clinton-Massie won the event with 74 points, Highland was second with 73 and Bishop Hartley placed third with 71.5. Circleville’s wrestlers accumulated 40 points. 

Competing for Circleville were:
Makaylee Holbrook went 2-4 to place fourth at 105 pounds. 
Summer Blair went 4-2 to take third at 115 pounds. 
Hayley Wiget placed seventh at 135 pounds. 
Makenna Riley went 1-2 to place second at 140 pounds.
