BB — Circleville 8, Bloom-Carroll 7
CARROLL — An extra inning was what Circleville needed to grab an 8-7 at Bloom-Carroll Friday.
The Tgers had fallen behind 6-1 after five innings when they had three of their first four batters single to load the bases in the sixth.
Then BC’s pitching ran into some issues.
A balk brought in Drew Thornsley and then Brody Brisker walked to reload the bases.
Kole Nungester and JD Reuter followed that by each drawing a walk and forcing in two more runs. A hit batter, an error and Thornsley’s second hit of the inning brought in three more runs to put Circleville up 7-6.
The Bulldogs tied the game on a two-out single in the bottom of the sixth.
After a scoreless seventh, Trent Smith started Circleville’s part of the eighth with a single and then stole second.
Two batters later, Lane Adams singled to bring in Smith with what would be the decisive run.
BC started the bottom of the eighth with a batter reaching on an error. But after he was caught stealing, two line drive outs to center wrapped up the win for the Tigers.
Reuter started for the Tigers and went six innings. He allowed seven runs (six earned) on nine hits with three walks and two strikeouts.
Smith got the win as he pitched two scoreless innings, striking out one.
BB — Huntington 6, Westfall 1
CHILLICOTHE — Huntington got on top early and limited Westfall to two hits in a 6-1 win for the Huntsmen.
Brenden Tuttle had an RBI double in the third and Noah Stonerock collected the Mustangs’ other hit with a single in the sixth.
Huntington put a run across in the first, two in the second, one in the fifth and two more in the sixth.
Stonerock took the loss for Westfall as he started and went five innings, allowing four runs (two earned) on six hits with three walks and seven strikeouts.
Trent Gardner pitched an inning in relief, giving up an unearned run and a hit.
BB — Logan 2, Logan Elm 1
CIRCLEVILLE — A tight battle had visiting Logan come out on top in a 2-1 game at Logan Elm Friday.
The Chieftains opened with a single and scored when Leiland Everett tripled with one out. A ground out brought him in for a 2-0 lead.

The Braves got their run when Carson Summers led off the bottom of the second with a single. He stole second and advanced to third on a balk.
Colton Eplin then hit a grounder to second which allowed Summers to cross the plate.
Neither team had more than one base runner on at a time the rest of the way as the pitchers kept things under control.
Dylan Neff went the distance for the Braves. He gave up the two runs on six hits with three walks and he struck out four.
The Braves had six hits in the game, with Summers getting two of them.

BB — Hamilton Township 6, Amanda-Clearcreek 5
AMANDA — After a high-scoring first inning, visiting Hamilton Township kept Amanda-Clearcreek under control to leave with a 6-5 victory.
The Rangers had three of their first four batters reach after being hit by pitches which set them up to score five runs to start the game.
In the bottom of the first, the Aces used a pair of singles to get runners on. A two-out error allowed the first AC score and then a double by Peyton Beavers drove in two more to leave HT up 5-3.
A wild pitch resulted in another run for HT in the fourth inning.
The Aces matched the run with a two-out RBI single by Bodie Martin in the bottom of the inning.
AC closed to 6-5 in the bottom of the fifth when Breece Stone hit a ball to right that was misplayed and allowed Beavers to score.
AC got two runners on in the sixth and one in the seventh, but wasn’t able to tie the game.
Beavers went 3-4 on the afternoon.
Drew Dossman started for the Aces. He pitched a third of an inning, giving up three earned runs.
Peter Brockman went the rest of the way on the mound. He gave up three runs on seven hits with two walks and three strikeouts.
