Lady Braves fall in OT; Mustangs prevail in OT; Aces beat Lions; New Hope tops Fairfield Christian; TV girls beat Cruisers

Bloom-Carroll 53, Logan Elm 51 OT

CIRCLEVILLE — Bloom-Carroll came back from a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter to force overtime and leave Logan Elm with a 53-51 win.

A Kimberly Petty three had the Braves up 40-28 a half minute into the fourth period. BC held the Braves scoreless while working its way back and tied the game at 40-40 with a free throw at the 2:18 mark. 

A free throw with a minute-and-a-half to go finally ended LE’s scoring drought. 

Trailing 46-43, another three from Petty tied the game with 22 seconds to go and the game stayed there for the rest of regulation. 

The Bulldogs hit a three early and turned a steal into a five-point advantage 45 seconds into the overtime.

Petty’s fourth three-pointer of the night tied the game at 51-51 with 35 seconds to go, but a free throw from BC’s Emma Sorrell and one from Tessa Brooks in the final 15 seconds sealed the win for the Bulldogs.

Petty led the Braves with 20 points and Gillian Savage added 13. 

LE returns to the hardwood Thursday hosting Chillicothe at 7 p.m.

Westfall 61, Piketon 59 OT

WILLIAMSPORT — Westfall needed a little extra time to grab it’s fourth win of the season as the Mustangs beat Piketon 61-59 in overtime Tuesday. 

Westfall twice led by six points in overtime in holding off the Red Streaks.

Joe Wray had eight of his 21 points in overtime to lead Westfall. Bryan Craig and Haden Rigsby each had 12 points.

Bo Henry scored seven points in OT to lead Piketon with 19.

Amanda-Clearcreek 59, Liberty Union 37

AMANDA — Amanda-Clearcreek bounced back from a slow start to control the middle two periods and send Liberty Union home on the short end of a 59-37 score.

Hayden Plank led the Aces with 27 points. Taylor Evans added 13.

New Hope 66, Fairfield Christian 45

LANCASTER — New Hope jumped out in front of host Fairfield Christian 27-9 in the first quarter and never looked back Tuesday on the way to a 66-45 win.

The Statesmen took their lead to 41-18 at the half and led 62-28 after three periods.

Teays Valley 57, Groveport-Madison 23

GROVEPORT — Teays Valley had little trouble grabbing a win at Groveport-Madison Tuesday night.

TV took a 15-5 lead after the first period and led 32-10 at the half. The advantage was 52-16 after three quarters.

Cami Robbins led the Vikings with 17 and Tessa Horsley had 11.
