Braves top Cavaliers; Mustangs fall to Rangers

Logan Elm 62, Chillicothe 38

CIRCLEVILLE — Logan Elm got back on the winning side of the ledger with a 62-38 final against visiting Chillicothe Thursday night. 

Kiki Ingram sunk five threes on the way to a 27-point night to lead the Braves. Gillian Savage added 12 and Kimmy Petty put in 11. 

Maggie Wilson scored six points, Maddie Adkins four and Maleah Gardner two. 

The Braves (3-5) are back at it Saturday afternoon with a 1:30 start at Liberty Union. (This game originally was slated for 7 p.m.)

Hamilton Township 64, Westfall 47

WILLIAMSPORT — Hamilton Township pulled away from host Westfall in the second half to pick up a 64-47 win Thursday night. 

After a tight first half ended with HT up 32-27, the Lady Rangers (4-4) started to pull away in the second half. They got the lead to double digits midway through the third period and finished the quarter up 51-38. 

HT’s Alexis Wooten led the game’s scoring with 27 points. Jael Haynes-Lee had 13 and Kiki Dean had 11.

The Mustangs fall to 4-4 on the season and will be back in action against Circleville next Friday in the inaugural Brad Morris Holiday Classic.
