Tigers earn a No. 2 seed as girls postseason matchups announced

With one week left in the regular season, the playoff matchups for the girls basketball postseason have been announced. 

Southeast District

Circleville (16-3) has earned the No. 2 seed in Division IV. The Tigers will host the winner from No. 10 Waverly’s (9-10) trip to No. 7 Logan Elm (10-10). 

The Braves host Waverly on Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. with Circleville hosting the winner Feb. 15 at 2 p.m.

Fairfield Union (19-0) earned the No. 1 seed in the district.

In Division V, Westfall (9-9) is the 13 seed will travel to No. 12 Piketon (11-8) Feb. 13 for a 7 p.m. tip. 

The winner will head to Portsmouth to take on the No. 1-seeded Trojans (19-0) Feb. 17.

Central District

Teays Valley will be hosting in the opening round of the Division II tournament as the Vikings (6-13) are the No. 11 seed and will welcome in No. 18 Franklin Heights (5-14) for a 7 p.m. tip on Feb. 12. The winner will travel to No. 3 Worthington Kilbourne (14-4) Feb. 15. 

Big Walnut (13-3) earned the No. 1 seed.

Amanda-Clearcreek (12-8) earned the No. 4 seed in Division V and will host a 7 p.m. tip on Valentine’s Day with the winner between No. 6 Pleasant (15-6) and No. 13 Worthington Christian (8-12). 

Johnstown-Monroe (16-3) earned the No. 1 seed.
