Central District – Division II
No. 1 Teays Valley 22, No. 15 Franklin Heights 0
ASHVILLE — Teays Valley had little trouble with Franklin Heights Tuesday to advance to Friday’s district championship game with a 22-0 win.
Franklin Heights’ starting pitcher walked the first three Vikings on 14 pitches and an error helped the Vikings (21-5) score their first run.
After a pitching change, a wild pitch brought in another run and Avery Mann then tripled to make it 3-0.
By the time the inning wrapped up, TV had sent 13 batters to the plate and nine runners had scored.

Twelve Vikings went to the plate in the second inning as they extended their lead to 15-0. The bottom of the third was much the same with 12 batters going to the late and six more runs scoring for a 21-0 advantage.
Avery Stratton started in the circle for TV and pitched three innings. She struck out six, walked one and gave up one hit. Sydney Brumfield pitched the final two innings. She struck out five.
Eleven Vikings collected hits in the game, led by Aimee DeWeese and Hayden Blackstock with three each. DeWeese scored twice and drove in three while Blackstock scored once and drove in two.
The Vikings will now face No. 9 Westerville North (9-18) at 2 p.m. Friday at Groveport-Madison. The Warriors advanced with a 7-4 win over No. 10 Logan Wednesday.

Southeast District – Division IV
No. 3 Logan Elm 3, No. 6 Gallia Academy 1
LOGAN — Gallia Academy out-hit the better-seeded Logan Elm, but the Braves made the most of their knocks to advance with a 3-1 win Wednesday.
The Braves had only four hits Wednesday with two coming in the bottom of the second inning.
Peyton Richendollar started the second with a single and Morgan Arnold and Maleah Gardner worked walks around a strikeout and a fielder’s choice. Hannah Gooley singled to center to drive in two runs and put LE on top.
Maddie Adkins accounted for the Braves’ fourth hit of the night when she led off the fourth inning with a home run to center for a 3-0 lead.
Lucy Caplinger had LE’s first hit of the night when she led off the first with a single.
Gallia Academy strung together three one-out singles in the fifth to account for its only run of the night.
Sadie Binkley went the distance for the Braves. She struck out nine, did not issue a walk, allowed 10 hits and the one earned run.
Logan Elm (17-7) advances to a district title game Friday against No. 2 Jackson (20-6). First pitch is set for 3 p.m. at Logan High School.
Southeast District – Division V
No. 5 Northwest 9, No. 8 Westfall 8
WELLSTON — Long balls helped Northwest advance to a district title game in a 9-8 win over Westfall Wednesday.
The Mohawks (20-4) hit three home runs in the contest starting with a three-run shot in the bottom of the first.
Westfall answered in the second by loading the bases. Adrina Hicks followed with an RBI single; Sydney Fuller had a sacrifice fly to bring in another run. Reise Rogers followed with a groundout that scored another run. Gabby Henry singled to bring in Hicks and put Westfall up 4-3. Kenzie Cook then hit a fly ball to right where an error allowed two more Westfall runs to cross the plate and the inning ended with the Mustangs up 6-3.
A two-out error in the bottom half of the second set up Northwest to retake the lead.
Following the error, a single brought in two runs and Mollyann Runyon put her team back on top with a two-run home run to left. The inning ended with Northwest leading 7-6.
Annika Carpenter led off the bottom of the third with a solo homer to make it 8-6.
Back-to-back doubles in the fourth made the score 9-6 in favor of the Mohawks.
The Mustangs closed the gap in the fifth when Hicks doubled in a run and Fuller laid down a sacrifice bunt to bring in one more and make the score 9-8.
Westfall was unable to get another runner on base in the final two innings as Northwest held on to advance.
Hicks handled pitching duties for the Mustangs. She went six innings, struck out nine, did not issue a walk, allowed nine hits and gave up nine runs (five earned).
Hicks also led Westfall at the plate where she had three hits and drove in two.
Northwest will play for a district title against No. 2 Wellston tonight at 6 at Ohio University.
