CHS girls pick-up win over Logan Elm

Circleville pulled away in the second quarter on Tuesday to record a 52-17 Mid-State League Buckeye Division win over host Logan Elm.
The Braves put forward a solid first quarter to only trail 9-6, but the Tigers used a 20-6 second period to take a 29-12 lead into halftime
Lily Winter led a balanced effort for the Tigers with 12 points, Gabby McConnell had 11, Faith Yancey tallied nine and Logan Jones added eight.
Hannah Rhoads paced the Braves with seven points, and Maggie Wilson and Cadence Haupt added four apiece.
The Braves (0-14, 0-7) continue league play on Thursday at Teays Valley, and the Tigers (8-9, 4-6) host Miami Trace on the same nighr for a non-league tilt.
Bloom-Carroll 43,
Teays Valley 38

Bloom-Carroll used a 17-4 third quarter run on Tuesday to seize the lead for good in a MSL-Buckeye contest and defeat visiting Teays Valley 43-38.
The Vikings had used a 9-0 run, powered by two threes from Jenna Horsley and one by Alyssa Horsley, in the second quarter to take a 17-10 lead into halftime.
With the loss, the Vikings (9-5, 6-2) and Bulldogs (11-2, 7-2) stand two games back of league-leading Fairfield Union (14-1, 8-0) in the loss column.
The Vikings host Logan Elm on Thursday for a league game.
Amanda-Clearcreek 60,
Hamilton Twp. 21

Amanda-Clearcreek opened an MSL-Buckeye game on a 19-3 run to defeat visiting Hamilton Township 60-21.
Emily Buckley led the first-quarter run with eight of her 16 points for the Aces and Hailey Sowers chipped in four of her six points.
Grace Davis shared leading scorer honors with Buckley by also tossing in 16 points.
The Aces (9-5, 5-3) travel to Fairfield Christian on Friday for a non-league game.

Canal Winchester 72,
Teays Valley 50

Canal Winchester took a 19-point lead into halftime on Tuesday and coasted to a 72-50 non-league win over host Teays Valley.
Sam Miller paced the Vikings with 13 points, Cameron Dyas-Rogers had nine and Brayden Miller tossed in six.
The Vikings (6-9) resume MSL-Buckeye play on Friday at Amanda-Clearcreek.
