Teays Valley pounded out 11 hits on Friday as it recorded a 4-2 Mid-State League Buckeye Division win over visiting Fairfield Union.
The Vikings tied the game at 1-1 in the second. Landon Guisinger singled to center, moved up to second on a passed ball and scored on a two-out single to left off the bat of Ben France.
Peyton Weiler and Tommy Williams opened up the home third with back-to-back singles and advanced to third and second, respectively, on a passed ball. Will Murphy then hit a sacrifice fly to center that scored Weiler and gave the Vikings a 2-1 lead.
Matt Farmer extended the advantage to 3-1 with a single to left that plated Williams.
The Vikings tacked on an insurance run in the fourth on a two-out single tp left off the bat of Tyler Love that scored Guisinger.
Guisinger went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs scored and Williams was 2-for-3 with a run scored for the Vikings.
Adam Trisler earned the win, allowing four hits, two runs (one earned). He walked none and struck out four. Hayden Wells retired the final three batters, two via strikeouts, to nail down the save.
The Vikings (5-3, 3-2) host Licking Valley today in a non-league game.

Zane Trace scored eight unearned runs on Friday to win a wild 20-16 non-league game over host Circleville.
The Pioneers pounded out 15 hits and also took advantage of 11 walks.
Circleville had 14 hits and earned 13 free passes.
Wyatt Thatcher went a perfect 4-for-4 with five runs scored and two RBI, Nolan West was 3-for-4 and scored twice, Tate DeBord went 2-for-3 with an RBI and four runs scored and Austin Gray contributed a 2-for-4 day with five RBI and a run scored.
The Tigers (6-4) travel to VA Memorial Stadium today to take on Wheelersburg in a non-league game.

Amanda-Clearcreek erupted for 14 runs after the third inning on Friday to claim a 16-8 non-league win over host Northridge.
The Aces scored five in the fourth to take a 7-2 lead.
Trent Hedges went 3-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored, Ryan Chamber was 2-for-4 wth three RBI and three runs scored, Peyton Cassley chipped in a 2-for-4 day with an RBI and Hunter Matheny was a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI.
Pete Brockman earned the win for the Aces (6-4), who host Fairfield Christian today for a non-league game.
