Teays Valley led central Ohio schools on Saturday at Watkins Memorial’s Mason Boyd Memorial Invitational by finishing third.
Springboro topped the 14-school field with 317.5 points, followed by Harrison (216) and the Vikings (185.5).
Gunner Havens won the 113-pound weight class by pinning Caledonia River Valley’s Gabe Thacker in 30 seconds. Camden McDanel prevailed in the 190-pound weight class with a 7-2 decision over Springboro’s Myles Johnson.
Joey Thurston was second at 285 pounds.
Three county schools have Pleasant trip
A trio of Pickaway County schools competed on Friday and Saturday at the Pleasant Sally George Invitational.
Logan Elm led the way by finishing fifth with 126.5 points, Circleville was seventh with 108.5 points and Westfall was 10th with 101.5 points.
Ontario topped the 24-school invitational with 199 points, followed by Liberty Center (176) and host Spartans (140.5).
Westfall’s Antony Hoty won the 113-pound weight class with an 8-2 decision over Marion’s Samson St and Gage Bolt claimed the 165-pound weight class by pinning Pleasant’s Sam Mentzer in 1:19.
Bryce Wickline (175) finished fourth for the Mustangs.
Logan Elm’s Dawsen Hudson (106 pounds), Gavin Hoover (126) and Hunter Schoenborn (150) finished second.
Circleville’s Trentt Fulgham placed second at 285 pounds and teammate Landen Zarbaugh (120) was fourth.
Aces compete at New Lex
Amanda-Clearcreek finished 24th with 49 points on Saturday at New Lexington’s Jimmy Wood Invitational.
The host Panthers topped the 30-school field with 238, followed by Lancaster (234) and Barnesville (223).
Peyton Beavers lost in the 150-pound final to top-ranked Reese Stephens from Barnesville.
