Rangers use three-run seventh to edge Vikings

Hamilton Township was down to its final strike twice on Wednesday but rallied with three runs in the seventh to defeat host Teays Valley 4-3 in a Mid-State League Buckeye Division game.

The Vikings scored all three of their runs in the fourth.

Trevor Hamilton reached on a one out error, advanced to second on a single to left off the bat of Matt Farmer and was joined on the base pads when Ben France was hit by a pitch.

Landen McFarland lined a single to left to score both Hamilton and Farmer.

Following a strikeout, Hayden Wells singled to center to knock in France.

Farmer and Hamilton both went 2-for-4 with a run scored and Wells was 2-for-5 and drove in a run to lead the Vikings (6-3, 3-1), who continue league play on Friday when they host Circleville.
